Space Makers · our ambassador programme · Europe

Become an ambassador.

Ambassadors build Promote Freedom Foundation where they live or study. They organise events, actions and local groups, bring volunteers together and work closely with our team for the long run. We start in Munich and are looking for ambassadors in big cities and universities across Europe — Paris, Vienna, or wherever you are.

01Ambassador or volunteer?

Two ways to work with us.

Volunteers help with a task: translate a text, help at an event, share a skill, make an introduction. Come once or often, take a break when you need one — every task counts. See the ways to help.

Ambassadors organise. They stand for the foundation in their city or university, stay with us for a longer time and work closely with our team. They find volunteers when a project needs them, plan events with us, take on more responsibility over time and can become part of the team.

02What ambassadors do

You organise. We stand behind you.

Events and actions. Lectures, trainings, debates, meet-ups — and public actions such as protests, planned together with the foundation.

Volunteers. You find volunteers in your city or university and coordinate them, for one event or for the long run.

Local groups. You start small groups — we call them circles — at a school, a university, a workplace or in a neighbourhood. Five people is enough.

Partners and rooms. You connect the foundation with organisations, companies, rooms and people who care about freedom.

03Cities and universities

Munich first. Then your city.

Munich is our first city. We are building the first ambassador team there now.

Across Europe. We are looking for ambassadors in big cities — for example Paris, Vienna, Berlin or Warsaw. Your city is not on the list? Apply anyway.

Universities. University ambassadors bring students together: debates, lectures, study groups and projects on freedom, law and civil society — to learn, teach and act.

Is this you?

You might be an ambassador.

04What you gain

Room to grow.

More responsibility as you go: lead volunteers in your region, coordinate other ambassadors, or join the team.

Real experience in running projects, groups and events — the kind you can talk about in any interview.

Access to the foundation’s network of partners and ambassadors, invitations to our events in Brussels, and free access to our learning programmes as they launch.

Where it makes sense, introductions to people we work with in European institutions and organisations. And a reference letter after your first year.

Honest limits

What an ambassador is not.

Not a spokesperson: you represent the foundation locally, but you do not talk to the media or sign anything in its name without agreeing it with us first. Not a fundraiser: you do not collect money in the foundation’s name. Not paid: the role is unpaid, and we cover costs only when we agreed on them in writing.

Every public action, such as a protest, is planned with the foundation and follows local law. The first term lasts 12 months. Then you and we decide together how to continue.
