Make space in Munich.
We are looking for a few people in Munich who want to open spaces for free thought: circles at schools, universities and workplaces, rooms for evenings, partners who care. Munich is our first pilot. Other cities follow if it works.
01The role
Space Makers organise. They open doors.
Circles. You start small groups at a school, a university, a workplace or in a neighbourhood — five people is enough.
Partners. You find organisations, companies and people who care about freedom, and connect them with the foundation.
Spaces. You find rooms and their owners — for circles, for evenings, for the day the foundation needs a place in Munich.
Evenings. Through circles, spaces and partners you organise lectures, trainings, master classes and get-togethers, and invite people from the foundation to speak and teach.
02What a circle is
Five people. One table. Free thought.
A circle is a small group where information from the foundation is available — and where people bring their own: articles, notes, ideas, photos, work.
The foundation receives everything with gratitude. Not everything will be published or used; that depends on timing, safety and many other things. It should never stop anyone from writing, thinking or making.

Space Makers organise. They do not speak for the foundation.
And curious about freedom, law and civil society.
03What you gain
Experience you can point to.
Real experience in running projects, groups and events — the kind you can talk about in any interview.
Access to the foundation’s network of partners and the other people who help us, and invitations to our events in Brussels.
Free access to our learning programmes as they launch — for example the courses of Agora AI Hub.
Where it makes sense, introductions to people we work with in European institutions and organisations across Europe. And a reference letter after your term.
Honest limits
What a Space Maker is not.
Not a spokesperson: you do not speak to media or sign anything for the foundation. Not a fundraiser: you do not collect money in the foundation’s name. Not paid: there is no salary or stipend.
The role lasts 12 months. After a short conversation, you both decide whether to continue.
